Shab e Barat………….

bism

The Holy Prophet (sws) had said that during the nights of the 15th Shabaan, the Almighty takes decisions in the matters of sustenance, life, death and the welfare of the people.

The great month of Sha’ban is the eighth month of the lunar year in the Islamic calendar and the month immediately proceeding the month of Ramadan. May Almighty Allah grant us more blessings in this sacred month and help us to prepare before holy month of Ramadhan

Name: Muhammad. Title: al-Mahdi, al-Qa’im, al-Hujjah, al-Gha’ib, Sahibu’z-Zaman, Sahibu ‘l-Amr.

Agnomen: Abu’l-Qasim.

Father’s name: al-Hasan al-’Askari.

Mother’s name: Nargis.

Birth: In Samarra’, on Friday, 15th Sha’ban 255 AH.

The Imam, the just Guide, Hazrat Mahdi (A.S.) was born half-way through the month of Sha’ban in the year 255 A.H. in the town of Samarra, and in 260 A.H., He was dependent upon his father (till 260 A.H.). Imam Mahdi was unseen from the eyes of common people and nobody could see him except special group of Shi’ites could not deserve his meeting.

when his great father died, he reached the exalted position of the Imamate. His name (Muhammad) and his agnomen (Abu’l-Qasim) are the same as the Prophet’s. His father, the 11th Shi’a Imam, was Hazrat Imam Hasan al-’Askari (A.S.), and his mother, the great lady Nargis. For various reasons, the twelfth Imam, from the first day of his life, did not appear publicly, and for about seventy years people were in communication with him through the intermediary of his special representatives, in order of succession: ‘Uthman ibn Sa’id, Muhammad ibn ‘Uthman, Husayn ibn Ruh, and ‘Ali ibn Muhammad as-Samarri. This period of seventy years is known as the minor occultation (al-ghaybat as-sughra), and at the end of that period the major occultation (al-ghaybat al-kubra) began. During the major occultation till the time of his reappearance, no one has been his special representative, and there will be no one in the future, and the people have the duty to refer to the fuqaha, those excelling in knowledge of the shari’ah, and the narration of hadith who are specialised in the matters of the religion.

  1. The Minor Occultation, which started from 260 A.H and ended in 329 A.H and it lasted about seventy years.
  2. The Major Occultation, which started from 329 A.H and will last as long as God desires.

The honorable Holy Prophet (SW) states: “The best deed of my followers is to wait for Imam’s advent which is God’s demand.”

Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) states: “ Who ever dies among you while waiting for Imam’s advent is like the one who has been with Imam in his camp.”

In some of the Islamic narrations, waiting has been accompanied with patience and resistance. This means that the ones, who are waiting for Imam, must be tolerant and resistant during the period of Major Occultation. By searching in these narrations one would realize that the term “ waiting “ does not mean that one must behave indifferently and obey the wrong-doers, but it rather is the motivation for effort, resistance against the deviations, cruelties and unfairness.

The Holy Prophet (SW)states: “ Waiting along with patience and resistance shall be considered as praying.”

1) The Prophet (PBUH and HF) said: “Even if the entire duration of the world’s existence has already been exhausted and only one day is left (before the day of judgment), Allah will expand that day to such a length of time, as to accommodate the kingdom of a person from my Ahlul-Bayt who will be called by my name. He will fill out the earth with peace and justice as it will have been full of injustice and tyranny (by then).”

holy Qoran says

For we have written in the psalms, after the remembrance, ‘the earth shall be the inheritance of my righteous servants.’ surely in this is a message delivered unto a people who serve.”the surah “prophets” 21:105-106

Next to the “Night of Qadr”, the 15th Shabaan is the most auspicious night (also known as the “Night of Baraat”). According to the Holy Imam Muhammad bin Ali al-Baqir (a.s) and Jafar bin Muhammad as-Sadiq (a.s), the Almighty Allah (swt) has promised to fulfil every legitimate desire put forward to Him in that night.

Imam Jafar bin Muhammad as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said:

“Whoso prays during the nights of “Ayyam Bayz”, in fact, stands at the door of the superabundant favours, bounties and benefits available in these months.”

Prophet Muhammad (sws) has also been quoted as having said:

When the night of the middle of Shabaan comes, Allah descends to the lowest Heaven and says, “Is there anyone begging for forgiveness that I might forgive him? Is there anyone begging for sustenance that I may feed him? Is there any such and such?” And we are told that Allah stays at this lowest heaven ready to accede to our legitimate requests until the break of dawn.”

“This is Laylat-ul-Barat, this is the fifteenth of Sha’baan, a very great night. In this night you should be attentive in the worship of Allah, for this is the night of accounting. Whichever child is to be born during the coming year is written down on the list on this night, and the name of whoever is going to pass away in the coming year is deleted from the list.”

Dear momineen-o-mominaat! Let’s renew the love for Ahle bayt (a.s). It is the way to salvation. Let’s forget the differences and work unitedly. Let’s convert our words into actions and carefully hold two precious and weighty trusts, the book of Allah and the Progeny of Holy Prophet (s.a.w), that, in words of…….

Holy Prophet (s.a.w)“will never be separated from each other, and if you lay firm hold of them you will never go astray.”

Muslim, al-Sahih, Vol. VII, p. 122; al-Tirmidhi, Jami’ al-Sahhi, Vol. II, p. 308.

I feel pleasure to Congratulate all of you on Birthday of our living Imam IMAM E ZAMANA (a.f.t.s) Bless U And All Your Family those help others and learn islam, worship Allah sincerily and always pray for early re appearence of Imam e zaman(a.s).

O, Allah the most high the most merciful! bless us with the nearness to Imam-e-Zamana(a.s) in this age of uncertainities.

O, Allah, the most beneficent, the most Graceful! Bless us with the sincerity of actions and intentions in this age of hypocrisies.

O, Allah, the most mighty, the most forgiving! Bless us with the bond of unity in this age of separations and tussles.

O, Allah, almighty! Bless us with the acceptance of our good deeds.

O, Allah! Treat us in the way that is worthy of your beneficence rather than the way we deserve.

  2. AS salam o alikum,
Brother infact there are so many muslims who started to misguide others by telling it is shia who give more importanceto the month of shabaan and they made so many hadith. And as a result few like you started to THINK like this. I am giving you this hadith from sunni wal jamat source so you can clear your mind…

    Ahmad and Ibn Majah relate:

From `Ali ibn Abi Talib: The Prophet said: “The night of mid-Sha`ban let all of you spend in prayer (i.e. partly) and its day (i.e. preceding it) in fasting, for Allah descends to the nearest heaven during that night beginning with sunset and says: Is there no one asking forgiveness that I may forgive them? Is there no one asking sustenance that I may grant them sustenance? Is there no one under trial that I may relieve them? Is there not such-and-such, is there not such-and-such, and so forth until until dawn rises.

  9. Praise be to Allaah.

This (Laylat al-Nusf min Sha’baan (the middle of Sha’baan)) is mentioned in some ahaadeeth, but there is some scholarly difference of opinion as to the soundness of those ahaadeeth. There is no saheeh hadeeth concerning the virtue of the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan.

It was narrated from Abu Moosa al-Ash’ari that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah looks down on the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan and forgives all his creation except a mushrik or one who harbours hatred against the Muslims.” Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1390.

The “one who harbours hatred against the Muslims” means one who has enmity towards a Muslim brother.

In al-Zawaa’id it says: Its isnaad is da’eef, because ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Lahee’ah is da’eef (weak) and al-Waleed ibn Muslim is mudallis.

There is also some idtiraab (weakness) in the hadeeth, as stated by al-Daaraqutni in al-‘Ilal, 6/50, 51. He said: This hadeeth is not proven.

It was narrated from Mu’aadh ibn Jabal, ‘Aa’ishah, Abu Hurayrah, Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani and others, but the isnaads are not free of some weakness, and some of them are very weak.

    Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali said:

Concerning the virtue of the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan there are numerous ahaadeeth, concerning which the scholars differed, but most of them classed them as da’eef, and Ibn Hibbaan classed some of them as saheeh.

    Lataa’if al-Ma’aazif, 261.

Allaah’s descending to the first heaven does not only happen on the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan, rather it is proven in al-Saheehayn and elsewhere that Allaah descends to the first heaven every night, in the last third of the night. The night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan is included in this general meaning.

Hence, when ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Mubaarak was asked about the descent of Allaah on the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan, he said to the one who asked him: “O weak one! The night of the fifteenth?! He descends every night!”

Narrated by Abu ‘Uthmaan al-Saabooni in I’tiqaad Ahl al-Sunnah, no. 92.

Al-‘Aqeeli (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

With regard to Allaah’s descending on the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan there are ahaadeeth which are weak, but the reports that He descends every night are proven and saheeh, so the night of the fifteenth of Sha’baan is included in that, in sha Allaah.
