This Hussayni mourning has long history, and it is attended by hundreds of thousands of devotees every year and they while performing latam on chests and heads curse on killers of Sebt-or Rasul Al-Imam Al-Hussayn (p).

Azaao Tawerej begins on foot from Tawerej city which is situated at a distance of 20 kilometers from the holy city of Karbala.

Religious scholars and clerics from Aal-i-Qazvini and dignitaries of Tawerej city from Aal-i-Amber, Bani Hasan tribes, Aal-i-Fatlah and Ad-Daom clans stood to help people of thgis city for azaao Tawerej.

It is talk of the town about this historic Hussayni procession that once Al-Imam Al-Mehdi Al-Hojjah (p), the last infallible descendant of holy Prophet (p), was seen in this procession.

According to details, once late Al-Allamah Sayyed Mehdi Bahr-ol Olum went to the holy city of Karbala on Moharram 10 –Ashura – along with a number of his pupils and companions. He stood on the boundries of the holy city to welcome the Tawerej procession. The participants of the procession were bare-footed and –headed, and they were severely beating their heads and chests in grief of Al-Imam Al-Hussayn (p) to this extent that from wherever this procession passed, it turned that place in deep grief and sorrow.

And when the procession neared that place where Al-Allamah Mehdi Bahr-ol Olum was standing, those around him were surprised to see that he acted what he never did before. He at once threw his imamah (turban), took off his shirt, began weeping bitterly, went into the procession and he was beating his chest and head in severe grief unconsciously chanting ‘wa Hussaynaa wa Hussaynaa’.

His companions were in great surprise that what happened to him at once, therefore they surrounded from lest any unseen event happen to him or trampled under feet amid waves of this great procession. He remained in that condition till the culmination of the procession. After this his face became weak and he had no power even to stand up. Then those around him asked: O our Sayyed! What happened to you that you at once acted unconsciously what you did never before?

He looked at them and his tears began rolling down from his cheeks. He said: when the procession neared to me I saw Maula Saheb-ol Amr (may Allah hasten his reappearance) bare-headed and –footed, he was beating his chest and head and was weeping with others. I could not bore that scene and went into the procession to perform latam (chest, head beating) with the Imam (p).

  1. i am SABA SAMI willing to share my one of the great dream i had for ‘IMAM-E-ZAMANA”.It was mind-blowing,whenever recalled appears as fresh as i saw it for the 1st time.I’m waiting impatiently for “HIS SOONER ARIVAL INSHAALLAH”Now let me narrate it’s contents.I saw myself aboard on a running large ship & the sea-water is appearing severely black that i am not able to see things clearly but looking down from the ship at water’s tremendous up-down waves. All of a sudden i found myself among people going hither & thither as water has come upon the ship and at a distance i saw a very old man giving some eatables to few people at which i too moved ahead & noticing that the man is on the ship but is too far and hard to reach as he was surrounded with water.Being unconcerned for the consequence i moved to take that tabarruk at any cost though few are stopping me against sinking but no matter i crossed it & had that yellow colored sweet. That man again asked me if i want to’ve a sweet sharbat at that i readily nodded yes and asked where to’ve that?He told me that it’s under deck so i moved that way & again i saw an extremely pious & lovely very old man alone sitting on the floor inviting me to taste his hand-made sharbat, sooner i found myself under water rather than deck and asking HIM how i can come to HIM as i’ll be drowned,so HE encouraged me to come by saying cross it “DAUGHTER”nothing would harm you and the sooner i stepped in water & continues to move further & further till i reached HIM & had that most different taste sharbat from his hands.I tasted it a bit & the remaining i kept for my family belongings.IT WAS REALLY A GREAT & SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE I HAD WHICH I CHERISH IN MOST OF MY LIFE’S MOMENTS.WHEN I WOKE UP, MY EYES WERE
WEEPING INTENSELY IN REMEMBERENCE OF MY MOST BELOVED IMAM IMAM-E-ASR.I TOLD IT to MY MOTHER & OTHERS WHO ADVISED ME TO MAKE SOME SWEET-DISH FOR HIS SALAMTI & SO I DID AND IT WAS VERY SPECIAL KHEER HAVING EXTREMELY DIFFERENT TASTE WHICH WAS EATEN WITH GREAT ZEAL BY MY BIG FAMILY & IT WAS SHORTENED AS WAS DEMANDED REPEATEDLY BY ALL.I WISH “YOU” TO COME SOONER AS NO MORE I COULD ENDURE “YOUR” ABSENCE MY IMAM.PLZ COME IMAM NO T A SINGLE CRUELTY,ATROCITY,HARSHNESS & IMMORALITY IS LEFT UNDONE.WE NEED YOUR KIND & TENDER LOVE IN THIS HELL WORLD.I KNOW I’VE STRONG FAITH YOU ARE LISTENING ME & MY HEART. 2. Hijab is an Attitude, not a Fashion

    By Fawzia Malik
Wearing the Hijaab isn’t just a matter of simply putting a piece of cloth on your head, it is an attitude, a way of thinking and behaving, and accepting yourself for who and what you are. Basically it constitutes an Islamic way of life, it is a statement, which indeed should portray a certain attitude.

A woman may indeed wear a long skirt and a scarf, but if she flirts constantly, then she can’t be really described as wearing the Hijaab (Indeed clothes should be long, loose and not see through, after which any style of clothing is applicable). The whole idea involves conducting oneself with dignity at all times (that means running for the bus and boisterous behaviour in public is not a good idea!!). As previously mentioned, the Hijaab depicts a statement, and that is something one should be continually aware of. It identifies you as a Muslim, and ultimately people will judge Islam by you, and that is a heavy responsibility!! Yet sisters, we must also be thankful that by wearing the Hijaab, we go a long way in fulfilling our duties of Dawah. Curiosity prompts people to question us, giving us the opportunity to show the non-muslims the beauty of our religion. O.k., so we may get the stares at times (to which one rapidly becomes immune), but it is amazing how many are sincerely interested, oh and not to forget the redoubtable old British ladies on the Tube (”Oh I do like your headdress, my dear!!!”).

Hijaab isn’t meant to restrict you from doing the kind of things you want to do, it is a blessing because it makes us check our behaviour continuously, preventing us from doing the things that muslims shouldn’t be doing anyway. Anything (with the blessings of the Almighty, is possible) -studying, working etc. etc. -provided it is within the bounds of Islam (Halal).

Sometimes, however the decision to wear the Hijaab can become extra complicated through external pressures, notably family and friends. Unfortunately, even some muslims nowadays look upon the Hijaab as being too “extreme”, and the like and when these attitudes come from members of your family then the decision becomes all the more difficult. Speaking from experience, things do change, because ultimately, you are doing this for Allah (s.w.t), and he will make it easy for you, by “softening” the hearts of those that may not be all that encouraging. Eventually they themselves will want to follow you because deep down they know that it is the right thing to do. If that doesn’t help, then this should convince you:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah the Almighty says:

“I am as my servant thinks I am…If he draws near to Me a hand’s span, I draw near to him an arms length; and if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes walking, I go to him at speed.”

On the other side, it is important to ascertain the motive for wearing the Hijaab. If you are thinking of wearing it to please your husband, to impress people at the mosque, or just as a change, then please think again. Hijaab (as with everything else) is to please Allah (s.w.t) only; any other motive will not sustain that conviction.

A word also to our brothers; Hijaab may seem to be merely a woman’s issue, but that is not so. Muslim men have to follow a dress code too, no matter if it isn’t as extensive as for women it still exists! The men, like women, should also wear loose clothes -so no tight fitting jeans please!! Their attitude to all women should also always remain respectful and business like, as the women’s attitude to men should be.

Finally, all of the above pales in significance to the words of our Creator (s.w.t):

    Say to the believing men
    That they should lower
    Their gaze and guard
    Their modesty: that will make
    For greater purity for them:
    And Allah is well acquainted
    With all that they do.
And say to the believing women
    That they should lower
    Their gaze and guard
    Their modesty: that they
    Should not display their
    Beauty and ornaments except
    What (ordinarily) appear
    Thereof; that they should
    Draw their veils over
    Their bosoms and not display
    Their beauty except
    To their husbands, their fathers,
    Their Husband’s fathers, their sons,
Their brothers or their brothers’ sons,
    Or their sisters’ sons,
Or their women, or their slaves
    Whom their right hands
    Possess, or male attendants
    Free of sexual desires.
    Or small children who
    Have no carnal knowledge of women;
    And that they
    Should not strike their feet
    In order to draw attention
    To their hidden ornaments.
    And O ye Believers!
    Turn ye all together
Towards Allaah in repentance that ye
    may be successful.

  4. Dear Saba Sami,

We hope that you will see Imam mahdi soon in Makka as Rasul (saw) said in Ramadan, maybe 2009-2012 as per some prophecies, predictions and scholars.

Our hearts and minds must be pure and open to receive the truth and justice that he will bring.

He will have to free Makka and Madina from the corrupt saudi Al Saud Family who are worst than the Yahud.

His greatest enemies will be the corrupt arab governments(GANGSTERS) like Saudi,Egypt and Jordan as we have seen after the Israeli massacre of women & children of Gaza and Lebanon.

He will need the support of good muslims to fight them before going to Al Quds like Salah UlDeen Al Ayoobi / Syduna Omar bin Al Khataab (raa).

He expects your prayers and good deeds.

    C U in Makka Ramadan 2009 !
