Hindus observe Muharram in Siwan village

In a rare show of communal harmony, dozens of Hindu families in a Bihar village observed Muharram Monday to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, and took out a ‘tazia’ (replica of Hussain’s shrine) in a procession.

“We observed Muharram and also took out a tazia procession along with the Muslims,” Lalan Choudhary, a resident of Thepha village in Siwan district, where the procession took place, said.

“It is an old tradition in our village that Hindu families observe Muharram,” he said.

His brother Ramayan Choudhary said that five tazias were built in the village for Muharram.

“Four tazias were built by the Muslims and one by the Hindus to prove that we also mourn martyrdom of Imam Hussain,” he said.

Cleric of the village mosque, Shamshul Haque, said: “Hindus observing Muharram sends a message of peace, harmony and brotherhood to others.” In this village, Muslims and Hindu families participate in each other’s religious functions, he said.

Why we neglect to cure disease of soul (ignorance)

ignorance It is very easy to meet a person who is searching a good doctor for his sick son. ask him why he do not go to any nearest Dr.? why he is searching the best? He will say this is a Question of his son’s life.

You can also meet a person  searching a good hotel for lunch or dinner, ask him why he is searching a good hotel? He will say this is a question of his Health.

Imam hassan (a.s.) says: I wonder those who think about their body’s food, but do not think about their soul’s food. they keep away disturbing food from their belly, but fill up their heart with destructive subjects.

In current era there are many ways of misguiding a common person (knowingly and unknowingly both)specially media, different propagandas are launched from various sources and among those sources unfortunately one source is MULLA (A person who does not have sufficient knowledge of Islam and Rulings of Maraje and with the limited knowledge he starts guiding people, sometimes on your TV screen and sometimes from mimbar.

Why we do not try to search the learned scholar to cure  disease of  soul (ignorance)?

Jisay “Naan-E-Jaween” Bakhsha Hai TU Ne,
Usay “Bazoo-E-Haider” Bhi Ataa Kar
(Whom YOU (Allah) have granted hobbies like Hazrat Ali please grant him the courage like Ali too.)

Taking account of oneself

2009-12-29-2120-555 Accounting is a characteristic found in human nature, irrespective of his country, ancestry, community or religion. Man is always preoccupied about things that shall benefit or harm him, he is always worried about his future, his wealth, property and about other things. His mind is always analysing his strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

Accounting is of various kinds. Generally, man takes an account of those things that are related to this temporary world. At such times, he forgets that there is someone else too, who is taking (his) account and whose rewards are everlasting. He is so absorbed in the accounting of this colourful and attractive world, that he has forgotten the terrifying accounting that shall take place in the grave or the impartial accounting of the Day of Mahshar. Man is busy in finding faults in others. He forgets to take account of himself and see how much he is immersed in sins and how many flaws lie within his own self.

Rather, man should make his own self so strong and powerful, that it becomes his advisor. The ’self’ of man should exhort him towards all obligatory acts and refrain him from committing all prohibited acts. Today, so much time is being wasted in backbiting, accusing others, watching television and committing other sins. Man must realise that everything will be accounted for. The way you trained your children, the way you spent your money, whether you have usurped any one’s right, even if it is a material right, to the extent that even if you have done good or evil of the size of a mustard seed, it will be accounted for. The Day of Judgment is also referred to as ‘The Day of Cheating’ or ‘The Day of Lamenting’. As Allah mentions in Holy Quran:
‘And whatever is in your heart-whether you conceal it or manifest it-Allah will most sorely account you for it’.

It is for this very reason that Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) has narrated,
‘Take account (of your deeds) yourself before you are taken account of (by Allah)’.

(Beharul Anwar, 70/ 73)

Take account of yourself before the weighing scale is established. And be prepared for a great accounting.

Just as man carries a watch in order in order to keep track of time, in the same manner, he should assign a watch for himself that will keep a track of his daily activities. He should check everyday the actions that are beneficial to him and the actions that harm him. Every night when we lie down on the bed, we should analyse our entire day and scrutinize each and every of our actions. ‘What did we eat?’ ‘What did we earn?’ ‘Did we commit any sin?’ At the same time we should also remember about the Day of Qiyamat. If we find that we have performed good actions, then we should praise Allah and if we find that we have performed bad actions, then we should seek forgiveness from Him and resolve not to repeat them.

It was asked from Hazrat Ali (a.s.): ‘How should a person take account of himself?’ He (a.s) replied
‘When a person ends his day, then he should turn towards himself and say ‘O self! This day that has passed will not return. Allah will ask you about how you wasted your day. He will ask you about the actions you performed, whether you remembered Him and praised Him? Whether you fulfilled a right of your fellow believer? Did you remove a difficulty that befell upon a believer? Did you protect his children in his absence? Did you safeguard his rights after his death? Did you -on account of your position- prevent anyone from backbiting your believing brother? Did you help any Muslim throughout the day?

Thus every man should ponder over his actions that he has performed during the day. If he finds that he has done good actions, then he should praise Allah for giving him the opportunity (taufeeq). But if he finds that he has committed sins, then he should seek forgiveness from Allah and make a firm intention that he shall not repeat that act again.

Then let us be strict with ourselves every time we account for ourselves, just as a master is strict with his slave. Or as a partner takes account of another partner. So account of yourself before your account is taken which will be so severe that there shall be no scope for rectification.

Ayatollah Modarresi vs. Top Wahhabi Cleric

This is a speech being delivered by Ayatollah Modarresi at the shrine of Imam Hussein in response to the slanderous comment made by the top Wahhabi cleric in Saudi Arabia.. Keep watching to see the fury of the audience..
One would think that after almost 14 centuries, the mission of Imam Hussein and the pristine nature of his message is transparently clear. On the same token, one would also think that the demonic nature of Yazeed and his cohorts is also as abundantly obvious.
For how could anyone exploit people’s ignorance of the hard historical facts and justify the barbaric murder of Imam Hussein? How can anyone conceivably explain the vicious slaughtering of the 6 month old infant and the starving of women and children to death? And after all the atrocities committed by Yazeed’s army, how can anyone brand his authority as "legitimate" or even go as far as to have the audacity to blame Imam Hussein for the crimes committed on Ashura 61 A.H.?!
And if an ignorant individual were to be found who is blind to the manifest truth, they might be dismissed as illiterate or simply insane, but when a the top ranking, government appointed cleric makes those outrageous assertions, it reveals deeply rooted malice and venomous scorn towards every divine ideal and every ethical standard. It speaks of far ranging moral dilemmas and a seriously flawed and perverted sense of judgment.
The attached video shows one such individual. He is Abdul Aziz Aal Al Sheikh, the grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, and the direct grandson of Bin Abdul Wahhab, the founder of the Wahhabi religion which is responsible for every atrocity, and every act of terror around the world. The video also includes footage from people’s reaction to the comments and the utter outrage at the shrine of Imam Hussein in the holy city of Karbala and the historic speech by one of Iraq’s leading Shia scholars, Ayatollah Sayed Hadi Al Modarresi, in which he emphatically denounced the comments by the Wahhabi cleric and challenged him to reveal his true intentions during the Arba’een processions.
