Abbasid caliph martyred Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq( A.S.) through poisoning

Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq( A.S) the Sixth Holy Imam was the “Founder of the First Grand Islamic University”. In this university the Holy Imam(A.S.) taught various branches of sciences and  more than four thousand students were attracted towards him from far-off places.Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq( A.S.) strengthened the foundations  of Islamic Jurisprudence and he is also considered  as “The Founder of the Imamia School of Jurisprudence” .

Mansur Dawaniqi,the  Abbasid caliph martyred Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq( A.S.) through poisoning on 25th Shawwal 148 A.H. and his holy body was laid to rest in the Jannat-al-Baqi cemetery in the holy city of Madinah.

The Funneral prayer was conducted by his son the seventh Imam and his body was laid to rest in the cemetery of jannat-ul-baqi . beside the grave of Imam Zaynul Abidin.

On this Sad and Mournful occasion we express our Heartfelt Condolences and Deepest Grief to all the Muslims and the Lovers of the Holy Ahlul Bayt(A.S.) in the world.

Abu Basir says that Umme Khalid Abadiya presented herself before Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (a.s.) when Abu Basir was also present. Umme Khalid said; “May I be sacrificed for you, on the day of Qiyamat I will tell Allah that I have done as commanded by Jafar ibn Muhammad (a.s.). Physicians have told me to knead the flour with grape wine and eat the bread. This will cure the terrible pain of my heart. I ask you, shall I do this ?”

Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (a.s.) replied to Umme Khalid; “No ! By Allah I will not permit you even a drop of wine. Don’t taste even a drop of it. Otherwise when your soul reaches here (Imam pointed towards his throat) you will only regret.” Then Imam (a.s.) asked Umme Khalid thrice.

“Have you understood ?” “Yes”, replied Umme Khalid.

A student of Fuzail Ibne Ayaz was on the death-bed. Fuzail came to him, and sitting near his head began to recite Surah Yasin. The disciple told his teacher, “Do not recite the Quran!” Fuzail became silent. Then he began to urge his disciple to repeat “La ilaha illallah”. The student said: “I will not repeat this formula because I am disgusted with it !” And he died in the same condition.

Fuzail Ibne Ayaz was extremely perturbed. He returned home after completing his duties and went to sleep. He saw his student undergoing punishment. He asked him, “What is the reason of your being deprived of faith (Imaan) at the time of your death? You were one of my best students.”

The student replied: “There are three reasons, firstly, I used to backbite too much, secondly, I used to be jealous, thirdly, a physician had prescribed for my malady a cup of wine every year. He told me that if I do not drink, the disease will never be cured. Every year I drank one cup of wine.”

Imam Jafar-e- Sadiq (A.S) was considered to be one of the legendary figures of Islamic History. His Disciples Include Imam Hanafia as well.

He was martyred by the Abbasid Caliph because most of his Subjects were getting guidance from Imam and caliph’s position was detoriating day by day .

Curse on the killers of Imam Jafar-e- Sadiq(A.S).

Ahlebait e Rasool (SAW) aur aulaad e Ali (AS) mein har Imam apne waqt ka
sabse baRa aalim tha. Hazrat Ali (AS), Imam Mohammed e Baqir (AS),
Imam Jaffer e Sadiq (AS) aur Imam e Reza (AS) ke alawa kisi bhi imam ke ilm se
hukoomat’e waqt ki paabandiyoN ne musalmaanon ko utna faiz nahin haasil karne
diya jitna woh kar sakte thEy. Hazrat Ali (AS) aur Imam HussaiN (AS) ki shahadat
talwar se hui, baqi 9 ImamoN ko unke daur ke muslim hukmaranoN ne zaher dilwa
kar shaheed kiya.

Imam e azam Abu Hanifa al Nomaan (ra) bhi awwalan eik arsey tak Imam
Mohammed Baqer (AS)  ki shagirdi mein rahe, phir unki shahaadat ke baad Imam
Jaffer e Sadiq (AS) se ilm haasil kiya.

Maulana Shibli Nomaani ne Imam Abu Hanifah ki sawaaneh umri ” Seeratun Nomaan”
ke safha 33 par tahreer kiya hai:

” Abu Haneefah eik muddat tak estefaade ki gharaz se unki (Imam Baqer ‘AS’)
khidmat mein haazir rahe aur fiqah wa hadees ke muta’alliq bahot si nadir baateiN
haasil keeN. Shia wa Sunni donoN ne maana hai ke Imam Abu Haneefa ki maaloomaat
ka baRa zakheera Hazrat mamdooh ka faiz e sohbat tha. Imam sahab ne unke
farzand e rasheed Hazrat Jaffer e Sadiq AS ki faiz e sohbat se bhi bahot kuch fa’aeda
uthaaya, jiska zikr umooman taareekhoN meiN paya jaata hai. Ibne Tameemah ne
iss se inkaar kiya hai aur iski wajah yeh khayaal ki hai ke Imam Abu Hanifa, hazrat
Jaffer e Sadiq ke ma’aser wa hUmsar thEy, iss liye unki shagirdi kyuN kar ikhteyaar
karte. Lekin yeh Ibne Tameema ki gustaakhi wa khaira chashmi hai. Imam Abu Hanifa
laakh mujtahed aur faqeeh hoN, lekin fazl o kamal meiN unko hazrat Jaffer e Sadiq se
kya nisbat? Hadees, fiqah balke tamaam mazhabi uloom Ahle Bait (AS) ke ghar se
nikley ”

Huzoor (SAW) ki yeh hadees aapke daada ke liye hi thi ” MaiN ilm ka shaher hooN aur
Ali uska darwaaza ”
Hazrat Ali (AS) ne jo ilm Huzoor (SAW) se haasil kiya tha wo aisa tha ke taareekh ke
auraaq mein aaj bhi Ali (AS) ka yeh daawa maujood hai ke ‘ Pooch lo jisko jo kuch
poochna ho, qabl iss ke ke maiN duniya se chala jaauN ‘ Iss meiN kisi mauzu ki qaid
nahiN thi, aur koi zaeef se zaeef rewayat bhi yeh nahiN bataati ke kisi sawaali ne
sawaal kiya ho aur uska jawab usko na mila ho. Aaj bhi har ilm ki pyaas rakhne waala
jab Ali (AS) ka yeh daawa paRhta hai to kaf’e afsos malta hai ke kaash hUm unke daur
mein paida huEy hote.

Yeh wohi ilm tha jo seena ba seena Huzoor (SAW) se Ali (AS) tak, aur imam
Jaffer e Sadiq (AS) se hota hua imam Mahdi (AS) tak pahoNcha,
inmein se kisi ne bhi duniya ke kisi madrase meiN ya kisi aur ustad se ilm haasil nahin kiya.

MaiN apni aur aap sabki jaanib se huzoor (SAW) ki khidmat meiN Imam Jaffer e Sadiq (AS)
ki shahadat ke mauqe par ta’aziyat peish karta hoon.
