LADY FATIMA ZAHRA (A) ON THE LAST DAY

Munajaat and Kahani Janab e Syeda

Fatima Zahra was daughter of Islam’s noble Prophet (S.A.W), consort to Ali (A.S), man of equity and virtue and the first Imam of the Shiites, mother of Imams Hasan and Hossein (A.S) who are the 2nd and 3rd Shia leaders. She was born in Mecca in the 2nd or 5th year after the Ascension of Muhammad (S-A.W) to prophetic mission. Comment on the qualities and attributes of Fatima, this grand lady of Islam and symbol of Muslim women, is outside the scope of this writing. Her love and attachment to her father was so intense that people had called her ‘Umma abiha’ (her father’s mother).Fatima (A.S) was by the side of the Prophet (S.A.W) and Ali (A.S) during the most sensational and melodramatic terms of their eventful careers. She passed away young because of the ample pain and hardship she went through following the death of the Holy Prophet of God (S.A.W).

Zahra (A.S.), Both Worlds Mourn For You! [Poem]

Composed by:
Saleha Fatima Midhat
Toronto, Canada

The scene of fire! The blazing fire flames! Was still trembling in the eyes of Hasan (A.S.) Husain (A.S.) The burning door of house, the rising flames of fire Smoke engulfing the house of great ones (A.S.)
A stroke hard stoke of enemy on the door The door in flames falling on Zahra (A.S.) Breaking her ribs and wounding her body The blood Alas! Flowing from wounds of her body
A stroke with the handle of sword on her side Gave deep, deep wound! And pain on her side! Alas! One more lash by enemy came on her She screamed in pain, “Father come for help!”
Muhsin, her son, the unborn precious one Crushed in her womb and taking last breath The little crushed body in arms of tragedy Sadness on its face innocent eyes closed
Prophet’s daughter Zahra (A.S.) is wounded and fainted Fizzah, the maid servant, is raising her with help With support to her body, she rose and she cried “Leave Abul Hasan!” “Leave Abul Hasan!”
The rope tied around the proud strong neck Of Ali (A.S.), ‘Lion of God’ is proof of patience The promise of patience he had made to Allah (S.W.T.) The promise of patience he had made to Prophet (S.A.W.A.)
His strong hands in past had lifted gate of Khayber His hands with the sword made lightening fall on foes His hands in Uhud had received sword of heaven His hand could behead the arrester in a moment
His hands took no sword, his lips were silent The foes pulled him out, his lips were silent Zahra (A.S.) raised her hands, innocent powerful Zahra (A.S.) And tears flowed from eyes and deep sigh on lips
The anger of Zahra (A.S.), like anger of Allah (S.W.T.) Signs of Allah’s wrath, made walls rise high To crush her enemies and turn them to dust But Ali (A.S.) cried “Zahra (A.S.) be patient don’t curse!”
Although so powerful she stayed very patient Fadak, confiscated, and she was patient Ali’s (A.S.) right usurped and she was patient Her heart was tortured and she was patient
How much of torture? how much oppression? Can mourner of father face in mourning state? Alas! Wounded heart was bleeding silently Finally on a night her heart slowed down
Embodiment of patience kindness and mercy The pride of both worlds, Zahra (A.S.) is dying Her heart is beating slow her breathing is slow With deep sigh! Went sacred soul to heaven
Her little four children around her dead body Crying “O mother please open eyes Your eyes are closed and body is cold! Our hearts are trembling at your silence mother!”
Ali cried, “Zahra (A.S.) you were like a flower Your fragrance had blossomed my heart and my mind How can Ali (A.S.) bear your loss O’ dear Zahra (A.S.)? My wounded heart will cry till my last breath!”
Sinless can bathe the body of a sinless Ali (A.S.) was bathing the body of Zahra (A.S.) He cried aloud in pain seeing broken ribs He cried aloud in pain for wounded side and arm
Her body very lean and shroud tied around The face so innocent with smile of mercy The oppressed tortured lady ready for the grave Ali (A.S.) holding heart and curbing his cries
Children hugged the body cried aloud in pain Hasan hugged mother and cried, “Mother rise!” Husain stood far, and said spreading arms “Call me close and hug me O my loving mother!”
The body of Zahra (A.S.) trembled with grief She spread sacred hands and said, “Come my son!” Husain ran and hugged her with head on her chest Cried painfully, “You take me to your grave!”
The angels of heavens were crying desperately Tears flowing from her eyes Zahra (A.S.) said “Husain Pride of Ishmael (A.S.), and ‘Savior of Islam’ Husain (A.S.), Great Husain (A.S.), you are ‘Life of Islam!”

Ayatullah Seestani on Samarra Blast

The image “http://www.najaf.org/image/100/1.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

In The Name of Allah The Merciful, The Compassionate

Once again evil hands returned to violate the sanctity of the Askari shrine in Samarra by targeting the remaining minarets of this holy site. This heinous crime just shows the extent of the perpetrators’ hatred towards the household of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and his family, and their relentless efforts to ignite the sectarian fire between the citizens of beloved Iraq.

The religious Marja’iyyah expresses its extreme anger and condemnation at this evil attack. It greatly regrets that the responsible authorities have not fulfilled their obligation in protecting this sacred Shrine and calls upon the beloved faithful, during these trying times, to be patient and exercise restraint and avoid any revenge action against innocent people and places considered holy to others.

We hope the government will take the initiative to implement its promise and take swift procedures to provide the required protection for the holy shrine and its reconstruction.

There is not power except the power of Allah The High and Mighty.

Ayatollah Lankarani Returns to His Lord

http://www.lankarani.org/common/Gallery/4dars/Lankarani_042_L.jpg

We are from Allah, and to Him is our return.

Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani, prominent religious authority passed away on Saturday. 16 June 2007 ,We extend our condolences to the Imam of Time, Imam Mahdi (a.s.), Supreme Leader grand Ayatollah Khamenei and the Muslims of the world on this sad demise.

The grand Ayatollah, who had millions of followers inside and outside Iran, recently moved to Tehran from the holy city of Qom to receive medical treatment but after his treatment proved unsatisfactory and his general health conditions deteriorated, he sadly departed from this world on Saturday 16th June 2007.

Ayatollah Lankarani was born in 1931 in the holy city of Qom. At the age of 19, he started attending lessons in Fiqh (Jurisprudence) and Usul (Principles of Jurisprudence) at the highest level of Islamic studies, which were being taught by the late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Burujerdi (may Allah elevate his status). Due to his academic excellence, perseverance and ability, he was able to attain the level of Ijithad at the early age of 25; a rank that his eminent teacher, the late Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Burujerdi gave to him in writing.

For many years now, he had been an unparalleled source of knowledge and piety for the Islamic seminary in Qom and its students; teaching lessons at the highest level for the past 25 years, thereby training scholars of the highest calibre for future generations.

In addition to his academic expertise, the Late Ayatollah Lankarani was one of the key components of the Islamic revolution in Iran. From the beginning of the political and social struggle led by Imam Khomeini (may Allah elevate his status) against oppression and corruption in Iran, at its helm the tyrannical regime of the Pahlavi dynasty, the late Ayatollah remained a steadfast supporter of Imam Khomeini eventually leading to his banishment to Bandar Lange and thereafter to Yazd.

Those interested in finding out more about the late Marja can visit his official website:

Today Islam has been politicised for personal gains

Today when i visited my friend Firoz shakir’s Blog i find he has just published one beautiful article… I would like to share feelings and thouthts with all of you.

Zuljana Islam at Crossroads

zuljana

by photographerno1 Sat Jun 9 0:43 MST

Imam Hussain was the grandson of the Holy Prophet of Islam. After the passing away of the Prophet , there was a clamouring of power , though the Holy Prophet had inadvertently mentioned at Ghadir Qum Man Kunto Moula Ali Fazhaiun Moula , simply translated it meant give Ali the same respect as you give me.

shah ast Hussain

badshah ast hussain

However on his death , there was a political conspiracy, hatched in such a way that Ali lost his right to the Caliphate. Abubaker became the First Caliph of Islam. The followers of Ali could not take the disparage so a non temporal, spiritual post came into being called Imamat. Ali was the first Imaam..All the Imams died tragic death. The 12th Imam for the Shias is Hidden he is known as the Mahdi or Al Muntazar or Imam e Zamana .This is the irrevocable difference between Shias and Sunnis who form the majority Islamic sect. The Shia are about 15% scatterd in some countries but a majority in Iraq Iran Azaerbaijan.

Imam Hussain was asked to pay allegiance to the Caliph of his time Yazid of the Ummayad Caliphate, Hussain declined as Yazid was anti Islam corrupt and a despot. A battle took place between the warriors of Yazids army led by Shimr.. Imam Hussains 72 warriors, this was one of the most barbaric chapters of Islam, where not even a six month child of the imam was spared.Ali Asghar was shot down by an arrow with which you shoot wild life Water was blocked at the Euphrates, everyone was killed save a surviving sickly son of the Imam known as Sajjad or Zainul Abedin the ladies and the indomitable sister of the Imam , Bibi Zainab , a four year daughter Bibi Sakina . Imam Hussain was shot down by arrows, Zuljana his faithful steed taking the brunt of the attack, after that Shimr decapitated the Imams head , their clothes belongings looted, bodies trampled by horses, their head put up on spears, women children enslaved, taken to Damascus to the court of Yazid..

This was the beginning of Jehadi terrorism or Yazidiyat , in the name of Allah, this was the treatment meted out to the Holy Prophets family. In India when Alexandra conquered Porus, Alexandra asked him what treatment should I mete out to you..or how should I treat you. Porus replied a treatment befitting a King..this is Indian thought, hospitabilty to which Imam Hussain was enamoured, when he was stopped at Karbala before the carnage and genocide he told the Yazidi forces to allow him to go to Hindustan , where he said I know there are no Muslims, but yes there are human beings..he was talking of a land that belonged to Brahma Vishnu Mahadev..

The image “http://www.photographerno1.com/albums/userpics/10001/normal_DSC_5526~0.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. So Moharam is not just about shedding blood , cutting foreheads , self flagellation, its about human dignity defying death ,upholding the principles of Truth..

Zuljana a four legged animal symbolises faithfulness that was lacking among the Yazidi forces , they knew the enemy they had come to crush was the grandson of the Holy Prophet but they impotently kept mum, like todays rulers Muftis , Islamic heads of State who watch the terror inflicted on Humanity, but have no balls to stand up collectively and say.. Stop this Carnage. This is not the Islam preached by the Holy Prophet..or his Imams.

This is the honest truth as I see it , Islam is at crossroads , it is a crusade not between the Cross or the Crescent , it is a crusade of Hate ,yes Muslims are bent on destroying Islam, Muslims love killing Muslims.. This is a picture of Zuljana at a Moharam Juloos.Every Juloos is incomplete without the Zuljana.

Today Islam has been politicised for personal gains , by vested interests, this mornings paper talked of a threat to India by a subsidiary of Al Qaeda called Qaeede Hind..this is criminalisation of a spirtual thought of Islam , this is satanism , the Shia shedding blood is called Heresy, the Puritanical Muslim killing Humanity is called Jehad.. For once I am shocked at the moderation of my Intelligence.. Yes I would rather be a Shia cutting myself up…shedding my own blood than asking little kids to decapitate Journalist heads, a dead Pearl of Wisdom..
